Restorative Yoga Classes
Restorative yoga encourages students to relax and unwind.
Postures are adapted from classical yoga asana, and practice focuses on relaxing the body in restful supported positions balancing the autonomic nervous system.
This class offers ‘active’ relaxation to allow time and space to renew and rejuvenate the body and mind.
What to expect
A class may comprise of 5 or 6 poses that are held from 5 to 15 minutes. Bolsters, blankets and props are used to allow the body to open and soften while supported by the breath.
This is a passive, calm restful class and may be 1 – 2 hours duration and usually limited to 8 students.

After the busyness of the festive season, make way for a little me time. Winter is a time of drawing in, taking time to regroup, renew and prepare for new life and the energy that comes with new beginnings. Join us in a yoga practice where we will focus on a gentle slow pace to deeply relax, and a lovely candlelit mediation.
Afterwards, share a glass of mulled wine/or juice and of course some festive nibbles.
Kindly bring your mat if you have one and a blanket for your comfort. A small number of mats will be available.
